About OneStopSite
We are a collective of developers, retro web enthusiasts, and digital archivists dedicated to reviving the creative freedom of the early personal internet.
#01 Keep the Indie Web Alive
The early web was built by hand, page by page. Personal sites on hosting services like GeoCities, Angelfire, and Tripod were canvases for raw personal expression. 88x31 badges were the visual handshakes connecting these independent nodes. We build tools that make it easy for new creators on Neocities to design custom badges and build links.
#02 Modern Figma-Grade Workflows
Traditional retro button makers are either static, buggy, or rely on outdated server rendering. We engineered OneStopSite to give webmasters modern, client-side vector tools. With multi-frame GIF keyframe timelines, pixel outline controls, shadows, and crisp upscale exports, you get maximum creative freedom directly in your browser.
Our Journey
It started with a simple problem: we wanted to create custom 88x31 buttons for our personal web projects, but the tools available on the web were either defunct, cluttered with ads, or produced blurry results. We realized that web 1.0 lovers deserved a premium, modern design suite tailored to retro dimensions.
OneStopSite was built using modern web development standards (Astro, Tailwind CSS, and HTML5 Canvas APIs) to compile high-resolution, LZW-encoded GIF streams directly inside the browser. By combining high-dpi pixel art with smooth vector controls, we created a tool that is fast, secure, and extremely powerful.
Why We Support Neocities & Geocities Rebuilds
In a world dominated by uniform social media feeds, personal web spaces represent digital independence. Platforms like Neocities have proved that static web design is not just a relic of the past, but a thriving culture of modern creators. We are committed to releasing and updating templates, hosting open-source tools, and serving the retro-web community.
